Kris grew up in the shadows of the Flatirons helping his mom turn the compost and doing the heavy lifting in the family kitchen garden. While studying Environmental Design at the University of Colorado his favorite class taught him about Permaculture and the way we view our interactions with the world. This new perspective encouraged him to find meaningful work, in building ecological systems that align with nature. His diverse skill set includes design & construction documentation, machinery operation & earthworks, and he has honed a critical eye for analyzing proposed designs. As the Treasurer of the Flatirons chapter of the National Young Farmers Coalition Kris has been helping to secure a future for our next generation of farmers. To have local food we must have local farmers and Kris leads by example!
